Who is the Chef?
Caylen Wada is the main chef. Along with his three cousins who help make each catering event possible. Caylen grew up on the Island of Kauai where he spent his life learning to cook from his uncles and his family. With the inspiration to make delicious food, Caylen pursues his dream of bringing Hawaii inspired food to as many people as possible in Western Washington. Caylen has lived in Seattle WA for 12 years and enjoys bringing Hawaii inspired food to the Seattle area.
What does Koloa mean?
Koloa is a town in Kauai, which is where the chef is from. Known for being a sunny area and having a variety of roaming chickens, Koloa is best known for the Tunnel of Trees, that is one of Caylens favorite aspects of his home town.
How Did Koloa Kreations Start?
Caylen began cooking for friends and family at birthday parties and family dinners. People told him that he could sell his food, so in 2016 Caylen shared his food with the masses at a local Powwow in Suquamish WA, with the help of his friends and family. The business slowly progressed from family dinners, to food booths and now catering.
